14th Parma Ham Festival

In 2011, Parma ham will be once more the main attraction of both the city of Parma and the surrounding production areas.
In a calendar full of things to do, the main event will be, as usual, the "Finestre Aperte" (Open Windows): ham factories will open wide their gates to the public and offer the opportunity to watch the production process and to participate in free wine tastings. A showcase for Italian quality which led involving 164 companies, 3,000 employees and 5,000 pig farms for a total turnover of 1.7 billion euros.

A shuttle bus service will be provided, enabling you to reach the participating companies.
Several events will light up the hills of Parma.

Will visit the Museum of Parma ham and sausage, made in the ancient Forum Boario Langport, as well as many of Parma ham tasting the best wines in combination, provided throughout. Several initiatives that will animate the Parma hills with dinners in the villages, street theater, local produce stalls, in-depth seminars. Finally, throughout the period of the festival, special menus in the restaurants and the Farm.

Where: Parma and all the towns of Parma ham production area: Langhirano, Lesignano, Felino, Sala Baganza, Montechiarugolo, Corniglio, Collecchio, Corniglio, Varano Melegari, Traversetolo, Neviano, Tizzano.

Contextual events are planned in Paris (in September) and the presentation of the Festival in Paris (23rd June) and Brussels, the European Parliament (28th June)
