Sangiovese di Romagna

HISTORY
According to legend, the Capuchin Fathers of the Santarcangelo Convent, skilled vine growers and producers of delicious red wine, one day gave hospitality to an illustrious personage. On the occasion of a banquet, they served him a cup of their best wine. The host, intoxicated by the excellence of the beverage, immediately asked its name. This caused great embarrassment for a moment, because no one had ever given a name to the wine. Then, one of the monks, inspired by the name of the hill on which the monastery is built and the intense colour of the wine (as red as blood), immediately replied "Blood of Jupiter". Only over time the name changed into "Sangiovese".
